Haldi Ceremony – A Sacred Pre-Wedding Ritual | Vedrahasya

The Haldi Ceremony is an essential pre-wedding ritual performed one day before the marriage. It is a traditional ceremony designed to bring positivity, prosperity, and divine blessings from Lord Ganesh while removing any obstacles or negative energies that could affect the marriage.

The ceremony begins with Gauri Ganesh Puja performed by the Pandit, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesh for a harmonious wedding. Haldi (turmeric) mixed with oil and sandalwood (Chandan) is then applied to the bride and groom using Durva, a sacred grass, to purify and energize them. After the Pandit applies it, family members join in, blessing the couple with love, happiness, and prosperity.

When to Perform Haldi Ceremony?
